Reverend and the Makers is an English rock band from Sheffield, South Yorkshire, led by Jon McClure, known as "The Reverend". Their debut album, "The State of Things" (2007), reached number 5 on the UK Albums Chart and featured the hit "Heavyweight Champion of the World". Subsequent albums include "A French Kiss in the Chaos" (2009), "@Reverend_Makers" (2012), and "ThirtyTwo" (2014). The band is known for blending indie rock, dance-rock, and electronica. In 2023, they released their seventh album, "Heatwave in the Cold North", which became their first UK top 10 album in 16 years.
