Richard Casey is a British pianist born in 1966 in Manchester. He studied music and modern languages at St John's College, Cambridge, and subsequently piano at the Royal Northern College of Music under Marjorie Clementi and Martin Roscoe. In 1997, he won first prize at the British Contemporary Piano Competition, leading to a series of solo engagements in the UK and abroad. Casey is known for his commitment to contemporary music, recording works by composers such as Camden Reeves, Anthony Gilbert, and Peter Maxwell Davies.
