Robin Holcomb is an American singer, songwriter, and pianist who blends avant-garde jazz, classical music, and folk. Born in Savannah, Georgia, in 1954, she grew up in California. In 1977, she moved to New York City, collaborating with musicians such as Wayne Horvitz, John Zorn, and Bill Frisell. Her debut album, "Larks, They Crazy," was released in 1989. Other notable albums include "Robin Holcomb" (1990), "Rockabye" (1992), and "The Big Time" (2002).
