Rodney Whitaker is an American jazz double bassist and educator. He has performed with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra and collaborated with artists such as Roy Hargrove and Terence Blanchard. As a leader, he has released albums including "When We Find Ourselves Alone" and "Outrospection: The Music of Gregg Hill". Whitaker is also a professor of jazz at Michigan State University.
