Ronald Brautigam is a Dutch concert pianist renowned for his performances of Beethoven's piano works on the fortepiano. Born in Amsterdam, he studied with Jan Wijn, John Bingham, and Rudolf Serkin. In 1984, he was awarded the Nederlandse Muziekprijs. His recordings of Beethoven's works have received the Edison Award and the Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik. Brautigam is a professor at the University of Music in Basel and has collaborated with orchestras such as the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
