Ronald Snijders is a Dutch-Surinamese multi-instrumentalist, best known as a flautist. Born in Paramaribo, Suriname, he moved to the Netherlands in 1970. Between 1977 and 1983, he released four albums that have become rare gems in the jazz fusion genre. His music blends jazz with Latin American, Brazilian, and Surinamese influences. In 2022, he received the prestigious Dutch jazz award, the Boy Edgar Prize. In 2024, he released the album "Penta," recorded direct-to-disc at Artone Studio, featuring tracks like "Kaseko Sisters" and "Fusionize."
