RUÏM is a black metal band formed in 2020 by Norwegian guitarist Blasphemer (Rune Eriksen), known from bands such as Mayhem and Vltimas. The drums are played by French drummer César Vesvre (Agressor, Thagirion). Their debut album, "Black Royal Spiritism - I. O Sino da Igreja," was released on May 26, 2023, and is the first part of a planned trilogy. The album is inspired by the Brazilian witchcraft tradition of Umbanda, which Blasphemer has studied. Musically, the album features a dark atmosphere, brutal riffs, and vocals in English, Portuguese, and Norwegian.
