Running Wild is a German heavy metal band formed in 1976 in Hamburg. Initially playing traditional heavy metal, they adopted a pirate theme with their 1987 album "Under Jolly Roger," pioneering the "pirate metal" genre. Notable albums include "Port Royal" (1988), "Death or Glory" (1989), and "Blazon Stone" (1991).
