Ryan Cohan is an American jazz pianist and composer. His 2020 album "Originations" blends classical compositional elements with improvisation and influences from Middle Eastern and other world music traditions. The recording was inspired by his trip to Jordan, where he discovered his Palestinian roots. The album was recorded at Transient Sound studio in Chicago and released under the Origin Records label.
