S.Y.P.H. is a German punk band formed in 1977 in Solingen. The original lineup included Peter Braatz (known as Harry Rag), Uwe Jahnke, and Thomas Schwebel. Their music blended elements of punk, krautrock, and Dadaism. Notable albums include "S.Y.P.H." (1980), "Pst" (1980), and "S.Y.P.H. (Album 4)" (1981), the latter two produced by Holger Czukay of CAN. The band was known for unpredictable live performances and songs like "Zurück zum Beton" and "Industriemädchen." S.Y.P.H. collaborated with various musicians from the Düsseldorf scene, significantly influencing the German music landscape of the late 1970s and early 1980s.
