Sam Dillon is an American jazz saxophonist, composer, and educator from New York. In 2013, he was a semifinalist in the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Saxophone Competition. In 2016, he earned an Artist Diploma from The Juilliard School. He has released albums such as "Force Field" (2019) and "Out in the Open" (2018). Dillon has collaborated with The Jimmy Heath Big Band, Mingus Big Band, and Slide Hampton Octet. In 2022, he received a Grammy certificate for his participation in The 8-Bit Big Band's "Meta Knight's Revenge." He serves as the director of the jazz program at USDAN Summer Camp For The Arts.
