Sam Gopal was a British psychedelic rock band formed in 1966 in London. Named after its founder, Malaysian tabla player Sam Gopal, the band released their sole studio album, "Escalator," in 1969. The album featured vocals and guitar by Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister, who later founded Motörhead. Known for its unique sound blending Eastern percussion with psychedelic rock, the band disbanded shortly after the album's release.
