Sara Curruchich is a Guatemalan singer-songwriter of Kaqchikel descent, performing in both Spanish and the Kaqchikel language. She gained recognition with her 2015 debut single "Ch'uti'xtän." She has released two albums: "Somos" in 2019 and "Mujer Indígena" in 2021. Her music blends folk with traditional Mayan melodies. She has collaborated with artists such as Lila Downs, Amparo Sánchez, and Muerdo. In 2021, she received the MIAW Transformer Award at the MTV Millennial Awards for her work advocating for women's and indigenous communities' rights.
