Savage Republic is an American post-punk band formed in the early 1980s in Los Angeles. Their 1982 debut album, "Tragic Figures," is noted for its industrial drones and raga-like guitar lines. The band is known for using unconventional percussion instruments, such as oil drums and metal pipes. Throughout their career, they released several albums, including "Ceremonial" (1985) and "Customs" (1989). After disbanding in 1990, they reunited in 2002 and have continued making music since.
