Schoolly D, born Jesse Bonds Weaver Jr. on June 22, 1962, in Philadelphia, is an American rapper recognized as a pioneer of gangsta rap. His 1985 debut album, "Schoolly D," features the influential track "P.S.K. What Does It Mean?" Notable subsequent albums include "Saturday Night! – The Album" (1986) and "Smoke Some Kill" (1988). He collaborated with DJ Code Money, and his music has been featured in director Abel Ferrara's films. In 2024, he was inducted into the Philadelphia Music Alliance Walk of Fame.
