Screaming Trees was an American rock band formed in 1984 in Ellensburg, Washington. The band consisted of Mark Lanegan (vocals), Gary Lee Conner (guitar), Van Conner (bass guitar), and Mark Pickerel (drums). Later, drummer Barrett Martin joined the group. They are known as pioneers of the grunge movement, with their music combining elements of alternative rock, psychedelic rock, and punk. Their most notable albums include "Sweet Oblivion" (1992) and "Dust" (1996). The band disbanded in 2000 after releasing seven studio albums.
