Sear Bliss is a Hungarian atmospheric black metal band from Szombathely, formed in 1993 by András Nagy. Their 1996 debut album, "Phantoms," was awarded "CD of the Month" by the Dutch metal magazine Aardschok, marking the first time a black metal album received this honor. The band is known for incorporating unconventional instruments like the trumpet and trombone into their sound. Notable albums include "The Haunting" (1998), "Grand Destiny" (2001), and "Forsaken Symphony" (2002). Sear Bliss has collaborated with artists such as Attila Csihar of Mayhem and shared the stage with bands like Marduk and Immolation.
