Sebastián de Vivanco was a Spanish priest and Renaissance composer, born around 1551 in Ávila. He served as maestro di cappella in the cathedrals of Lérida, Segovia, Ávila, and finally Salamanca, where he died on October 26, 1622. During his tenure in Salamanca, he published three significant collections: "Liber magnificarum" (1607), "Libro de misas" (1608), and "Libro de motetes" (1610). His works exemplify Spanish Renaissance polyphony and include masses, motets, and Magnificats.
