Sergey Khachatryan is an Armenian violinist born in Yerevan. In 2000, he won first prize at the International Jean Sibelius Competition in Helsinki, becoming the youngest winner in the competition's history. In 2005, he secured first prize at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels. Notable recordings include the 2024 album "Ysaÿe: VI Sonatas for Solo Violin, Op. 27," where he performs on Eugène Ysaÿe's own Guarneri del Gesù violin. Other significant recordings are "Bach: Sonatas & Partitas" and "Shostakovich: Violin Concertos." Khachatryan is renowned for his interpretations of classical repertoire and regularly performs with leading orchestras worldwide.
