Sexion d'Assaut is a French hip-hop group formed in 2002 in Paris. The group consists of eight members: Maître Gims, Black M, Lefa, Barack Adama, Maska, JR O Crom, Doomams, and Pétrodollars. Their debut album, "L'École des points vitaux," was released in 2010 and achieved quadruple platinum certification. The follow-up album, "L'Apogée," released in 2012, received diamond certification. The group has won several awards, including NRJ Music Awards for "Francophone Group of the Year" and "Francophone Song of the Year" for "Avant qu'elle parte." Sexion d'Assaut is known for its approach to old-school hip-hop and avoiding the "bling bling" image.
