Shannon and the Clams is an indie garage punk quartet from Oakland, California. The band consists of Shannon Shaw (bass guitar, vocals), Cody Blanchard (guitar, vocals), Will Sprott (keyboards), and Nate Mahan (drums). They are known for their vintage sound that blends elements of doo-wop, classic R&B, garage psych, and surf rock. Their discography includes albums such as "I Wanna Go Home" (2009), "Sleep Talk" (2011), "Dreams in the Rat House" (2013), and "Gone by the Dawn" (2015). In 2018, they released "Onion" under the Easy Eye Sound label, produced by Dan Auerbach. This was followed by "Year of the Spider" in 2021. The band is renowned for their energetic live performances and authentic approach to music.
