Simone Lamsma is a Dutch violinist born in 1985 in Leeuwarden. She studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School and the Royal Academy of Music in London. Lamsma has an extensive repertoire encompassing over 60 violin concertos by composers such as Paganini and Shostakovich. Her notable recordings include "Pärt über Bach" (2024) and "Rautavaara: Works for Violin & Orchestra" (2022). She has collaborated with orchestras like the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and the BBC Symphony Orchestra. In 2011, she was appointed an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music.
