Sixun is a French jazz fusion band formed in 1984. The band's name combines "six" and "one," referring to the six members playing as a single unit. The original lineup included Paco Séry (drums, percussion), Jean-Pierre Como (keyboards), Alain Debiossat (saxophone), Louis Winsberg (guitar), and Michel Alibo (bass guitar). Their music is characterized by complex polyrhythms and influences from African and Caribbean music. Notable albums include "Nuit Blanche" (1985), "Nomad's Land" (1993), and "Palabre" (2008). In 2006, they received the Django d'Or award for their live performance at La Cigale. After a hiatus, they returned in 2022 with the album "Unixsity".
