Skyclad is a British heavy metal band heavily influenced by folk music, considered pioneers of folk metal. The band was founded in 1990 by former Sabbat vocalist Martin Walkyier and guitarist Steve Ramsey. Their debut album, "The Wayward Sons of Mother Earth," released in 1991, is regarded as one of the first folk metal albums. Notable albums include "A Burnt Offering for the Bone Idol" (1992), "Prince of the Poverty Line" (1994), and "Forward into the Past" (2017).
