Slim Gaillard was an American jazz singer, multi-instrumentalist, and composer known for his humor and inventiveness. In the 1930s and 1940s, he gained popularity as part of the duo Slim & Slam with Slam Stewart, with their song "Flat Foot Floogie" becoming a hit in 1938. Gaillard was renowned for his unique "Vout-o-Reenee" language, and his music blended jazz with swing. Other notable songs include "Cement Mixer (Put-Ti Put-Ti)" and "Laughing in Rhythm". He collaborated with prominent musicians such as Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie.
