Smerz is a Norwegian electronic music duo consisting of Catharina Stoltenberg and Henriette Motzfeldt. The duo met in high school in Oslo and moved to Copenhagen in 2011. In 2016, they released their first single "Because" followed by the EP "Okey". In 2017, they signed with XL Recordings and released the EP "Have Fun" in 2018. Their debut album "Believer" was released in 2021. Smerz is known for their unique sound that blends elements of classical music, hip-hop, R&B, and electronic music.
