Sólveig Steinþórsdóttir is an Icelandic violinist who made her solo debut with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra in 2013, performing Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto. Since then, she has appeared as a soloist with various orchestras in Iceland, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland, interpreting works by composers such as Vivaldi, Bach, Saint-Saëns, Sarasate, Chausson, and Sibelius. In 2023, she released the album "Ysaÿe: Solo Violin Sonatas 1-6, Op. 27." Sólveig began playing the violin at the age of three and completed her bachelor's degree at the Berlin University of the Arts and her master's degree at the Zurich University of the Arts, both with distinction.
