Sonny Emory is an American drummer and percussionist known for his work in R&B, soul, and jazz genres. He was a member of Earth, Wind & Fire from 1987 to 1999. Emory has collaborated with artists such as Bruce Hornsby, Steely Dan, Eric Clapton, Bette Midler, and Lee Ritenour. He contributed to albums like The B-52's "Cosmic Thing" and Steely Dan's "Two Against Nature." In 1996, he released a solo project titled "Hypnofunk," produced by Maurice White.
