Released on October 27, 2023, "VOLUME 1" is a limited edition vinyl by legendary jazz saxophonist Sonny Rollins. This 1956 album showcases Rollins' robust playing and boundless improvisational creativity, featuring outstanding musicians: Donald Byrd on trumpet, Wynton Kelly on piano, Gene Ramey on bass, and Max Roach on drums. The album includes four energetic originals and a poignant ballad, "How Are Things in Glocca Morra?" from the musical Finian's Rainbow. This limited edition is mono, fully analog, remastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes, and pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal.
