Sonny Til & The Orioles were an American R&B group formed in 1947 in Baltimore, Maryland. Considered pioneers of the doo-wop genre, they achieved success with hits like "It's Too Soon to Know" (1948) and "Crying in the Chapel" (1953). Their music influenced many later vocal groups.
