Sonya Yoncheva is a Bulgarian soprano who studied piano and voice in Plovdiv and later earned a master's degree from the Geneva Conservatory. In 2010, she won the top prize at the Operalia competition. Her repertoire spans from Baroque composers to Verdi and Puccini. She has performed on major stages such as the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House in London, and Opéra de Paris. Her accolades include Singer of the Year at the 2021 Opus Klassik Awards. In 2020, she founded the production company SY11, under which she released albums like "The Courtesan" and the book "Fifteen Mirrors".
