Spacemen 3 was an English rock band formed in 1982 in Rugby, Warwickshire, by Peter Kember and Jason Pierce. Their music is known for its "trance-like neo-psychedelia" style, featuring heavily distorted guitars, synthesizers, and minimal chord or tempo changes. Notable albums include "Sound of Confusion" (1986), "The Perfect Prescription" (1987), and "Playing with Fire" (1989). After disbanding in 1991, Pierce continued with the project Spiritualized, while Kember pursued production work under the name Sonic Boom.
