Spade Cooley was an American musician and actor, known as the "King of Western Swing". In the 1940s and 1950s, he led a popular orchestra that blended country and jazz elements. His most famous song, "Shame on You", became a hit in 1945. Cooley also appeared in several films and had his own television show.
