Stan Getz and Bill Evans were prominent American jazz musicians. In 1963, they recorded sessions with drummer Elvin Jones and bassists Ron Carter and Richard Davis. These recordings were released in 1974 under the title "Previously Unreleased Recordings". In 1974, they performed together at jazz festivals in Laren and Antwerp, which were documented on the album "But Beautiful".
