Starcastle is an American progressive rock band from Champaign, Illinois, formed in 1969. The original lineup included Terry Luttrell (vocals), Gary Strater (bass guitar), Stephen Tassler (drums), Herb Schildt (keyboards), and brothers Matthew and Gary Stewart (guitars). The band released four studio albums between 1976 and 1978: "Starcastle," "Fountains of Light," "Citadel," and "Real to Reel." Their music is characterized by intricate melodies and rich harmonies, often drawing comparisons to the band Yes. After several lineup changes and hiatuses, they released "Song of Times" in 2007.
