Status Quo is a British rock band formed in London in 1962 by Francis Rossi and Alan Lancaster. After several name and lineup changes, they settled on The Status Quo in 1967, shortening it to Status Quo in 1969. The band is known for its boogie rock style and has achieved over 60 hits in the UK singles chart, including "Pictures of Matchstick Men" and "Down Down". In 1985, they opened the Live Aid concert at Wembley. The current lineup consists of Francis Rossi, Andy Bown, John "Rhino" Edwards, Leon Cave, and Richie Malone.
