Stealers Wheel was a Scottish folk rock band formed in 1972 in Paisley, Scotland, by former school friends Joe Egan and Gerry Rafferty. Their best-known hit is "Stuck in the Middle with You," which reached No. 6 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and No. 8 on the UK Singles Chart in 1973. The band released three studio albums: "Stealers Wheel" (1972), "Ferguslie Park" (1973), and "Right or Wrong" (1975). After disbanding in 1975, both members pursued solo careers, with Rafferty achieving success with the hit "Baker Street" in 1978. Egan passed away on July 6, 2024, at the age of 77.
