Stereolab is an Anglo-French avant-pop band formed in London in 1990 by Tim Gane and Lætitia Sadier. Their music combines motorik rhythms with vintage electronic keyboards and female vocals in English and French, drawing from krautrock, funk, jazz, and 1960s French pop. Notable albums include "Peng!" (1992), "Emperor Tomato Ketchup" (1996), and "Dots and Loops" (1997). After a hiatus from 2009 to 2019, the band returned to live performances and released the album "Instant Holograms on Metal Film" in 2025.
