Steve Grossman was an American jazz saxophonist known for his work with Miles Davis and Elvin Jones. Born in New York, he began playing saxophone at a young age. In 1969, he joined Miles Davis's group, replacing Wayne Shorter. Later, he collaborated with Elvin Jones and released several solo albums, including "Some Shapes to Come" and "Love Is the Thing".
