Steve Lehman is an American alto saxophonist and composer known for his innovative approaches in jazz. He studied under Anthony Braxton at Wesleyan University and collaborated with him from 1998 to 2007. Lehman has released several significant albums, including "Travail, Transformation, and Flow" (2009), "Mise en Abîme" (2014), and "The People I Love" (2019). His music often incorporates avant-garde elements and complex compositions. In 2015, he received a Guggenheim Fellowship, and in 2014, the Doris Duke Artist Award.
