Stephen Ray Perry (born January 22, 1949, in Hanford, California, USA) is an American singer and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band Journey from 1977 to 1987 and again from 1995 to 1998. With the band, he recorded albums such as "Infinity" (1978), "Escape" (1981), and "Frontiers" (1983). Their most notable songs include "Don't Stop Believin'", "Open Arms", and "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)". Perry also released solo albums, including "Street Talk" (1984) featuring the hit "Oh Sherrie". In 2017, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Journey.
