Steven Osborne is a Scottish pianist renowned for his interpretations of classical music. He studied at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. In 1991, he won first prize at the Clara Haskil International Piano Competition in Switzerland, and in 1997, at the Naumburg International Piano Competition in New York. His recordings include works by composers such as Debussy, Rachmaninov, and Prokofiev. In 2009, he received the Gramophone Award for his recording of Britten's Piano Concerto. Osborne regularly performs on international stages and collaborates with leading orchestras and conductors.
