Sulphur Aeon is a German death metal band founded in 2010 in Waltrop, North Rhine-Westphalia. The band has released four studio albums: "Swallowed by the Ocean's Tide" (2013), "Gateway to the Antisphere" (2015), "The Scythe of Cosmic Chaos" (2018), and "Seven Crowns and Seven Seals" (2023). Their music is known for themes related to the Cthulhu Mythos, which are also reflected in their album artwork. In January 2019, "The Scythe of Cosmic Chaos" was named "Album of the Month" by the German magazine Metal Hammer. The band is signed to Ván Records.
