Sundrowned is a post-black metal band from Haugesund, Norway. Their debut album, "Become Ethereal," was released in 2021 under the Fysisk Format label. Musically, they focus on dense atmospheres and melancholic melodies, drawing comparisons to bands like Alcest and Rosetta. The project is led by Jone Amundsen Piscopo, supported by members Aron Eggertsson, Gabriel Innocent, and Markus Jakobsen. The album was recorded at Bridge Burner Recording studio in Stavanger under the direction of producer Ørjan Kristoffersen Lund and mastered by Brad Boatright of Audioseige. "Become Ethereal" is the first in a planned series of albums exploring various aspects of humanity through the lens of classical alchemy and the quest for perfection.
