Svartsyn is a Swedish black metal band formed in 1991 by multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and lyricist Ornias. Originally known as Chalice, the band changed its name to Svartsyn in 1993. Their debut album, "The True Legend," was released in 1998. Other notable albums include "Bloodline" (2005) and "Destruction of Man" (2003). In 2025, they released their tenth studio album, "Vortex of the Destroyer," featuring new compositions and re-recorded tracks from their early years.
