Szymon Goldberg was a Polish violinist and conductor renowned for his interpretations of classical music. He studied under Carl Flesch in Berlin and debuted with the Berlin Philharmonic in 1924. Goldberg served as concertmaster of the Dresden Philharmonic (1925–1929) and the Berlin Philharmonic (1929–1934). After leaving Germany in 1934, he collaborated with pianist Lili Kraus and later founded the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra in 1955. Goldberg was known for his recordings of Mozart and Beethoven works and held teaching positions at several prestigious institutions.
