Taake is a Norwegian black metal band from Bergen, formed in 1993 by Ørjan Stedjeberg, known as Hoest. The band has released eight studio albums, including "Nattestid" (1999), "Bjoergvin" (2002), and "Doedskvad" (2005). Taake is known for its "True Norwegian Black Metal" style, with all lyrics in Hoest's native dialect, printed in Norse runes. The name "Taake" is the old spelling of the Norwegian word "tåke," meaning "fog." The products available from the artist Taake include CDs.
