Takeo Ischi is a Japanese yodeler active in Germany. Born in Tokyo, he learned to play the zither and dulcimer during his mechanical engineering studies. Self-taught in yodeling using Franzl Lang's recordings, he later performed in Japan. During a stay in Switzerland, he sang at a Zurich beer hall, where Lang discovered him. Ischi moved to Germany, becoming known as the "Japanese yodeler." He released albums like "Der Jodelnde Japaner" and "Grüße Aus Den Bergen." In 2017, he collaborated with The Gregory Brothers on "Chicken Attack," which garnered millions of views on YouTube. The products available from the artist Takeo Ischi include CDs.
