Tammi Terrell was an American soul singer known for her duets with Marvin Gaye in the 1960s. Born Thomasina Winifred Montgomery on April 29, 1945, in Philadelphia, she began her music career as a teenager and signed with Motown Records in 1965. Her most notable songs include "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" and "You're All I Need to Get By." In 1967, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor, leading to her untimely death on March 16, 1970, at the age of 24. Despite her brief career, she left a lasting impact on soul music.
