Tek is an American rapper known as a member of the duo Smif-N-Wessun and the collective Boot Camp Clik. He began his career in 1993 on Black Moon's album 'Enta Da Stage'. In 1994, Smif-N-Wessun released their debut single 'Bucktown', which became a Billboard Hot 100 hit. Their 1995 debut album 'Dah Shinin'' is considered a classic of underground hip-hop. After legal issues with the Smith & Wesson company, they changed their name to Cocoa Brovaz and released the album 'The Rude Awakening' in 1998. Tek is also known for collaborations with artists like Raekwon on the track 'Black Trump'.
